Will It really happen?

Recently, I started to watch a show called 'Paranormal State'. On an episode, the main investigator, Ryan, was seemingly being stalked by a demon. He said that he kept dreaming and thinking of the demons name, but he refused to say it out loud. Now, that really got me interested. Because it's just a name. How could it hold so much 'fear' to where he wouldn't say it? Then, Ryan said something along the lines that if you speak a demons name, it's like you're challenging him and he'll come and 'harass' you. Now, I was really interested by that and so I looked into it. I found out the demons name. I didn't say it, though, because I'm a superstitious person. That was a few days ago. I can't get the name out of my head. Even when I'm distracted by something else, I can't stop thinking of the name! Now, I know people have different views on this subject, but what do you think? If I do speak the demons name, will it really harass me? Or was that just a total lie?

There are no such things as demons. The church invented demons and the devil to scare the bejesus out of people and to frighten them into behaving themselves. So, don't even worry about demons. Instead, focus on your spirit guide and angels who are always around you.

You're right, and it's all love and happiness on the Other Side. But there is plenty of unhappiness and negativity on our physical world/hell....the hate, evil and wars that have and are taking place. Any "demons" are of the human variety and intend to do us harm. They're the ones that you have to watch out for. Not any guys wearing red tights and sport horns on their heads and carry pitchforks, which don't exist at all and are the inventions of the church.

I wouldn't risk it. Demons wouldn't be something I would mess with. This is a thing that has worked it's way into many tales and fiction. I've not really looked into the saying of a name so I have no definite answer.

Thank you. I appreciate your response. I won't risk it, though my sister now thinks I'm stupid for thinking that way.

I really don't believe speaking the name of a supposed demon will result in harassment...lol I don't think you need to actually speak outloud for a spirit to hear you. So if you think the name it would be the same as saying it outloud....imo. I saw that episode and also was curious what the name was ..how did you find out... I hope I'm not like the cat and curiosity.... But seriously I wouldn't give it any worry. Blessed Be, Mari

I haven't experienced anything like that myself, but it seems like it would make sense. I mean, if you simply looked up a name of anyone else you would forget it probably rather soon after reading it, but now that you've looked up this demon's name, you can't get it out of your head. It's rather like he's challenging you, isn't it? I wouldn't risk it, either. While I'm not sure that anything would happen in terms of him harassing you any more than he is by staying in your mind (haha, kind of like songs that get stuck in there.) I would leave well enough alone.

speaking the name not only has a tendency of calling whatever it is to you ( same as if someone said your name aloud, youd turn yer head and take notice ) it also lends them power. just a word of caution.. curiosity killed the cat.

I knew the demon's name when he first started talking about it. It is a common one in demonology. I think the idea is to not let the demon have a foothold in any way. If I were you I'd forget about the whole episode. Don't let the TV attract oppression into your life.
