Huge Antarctic ice chunk collapses....A chunk of Antarctic ice about seven times the size of Manhattan suddenly collapsed, putting an even greater portion of glacial ice at risk, scientists said Tuesday. Satellite images show the runaway disintegration of a 160-square-mile chunk in western Antarctica, which started February 28. It was the edge of the Wilkins ice shelf and has been there for hundreds, maybe 1,500 years.
This is the result of global warming, said British Antarctic Survey scientist David Vaughan.
I've seen a lot of documentaries about what scientists think is going to happen in the future but personally this makes me a bit nervous happening now!

Sadly, it all is happening now, you just are not going to hear about everything. If you look around us, we're seeing things happening all the time that are a direct result of global warming. Is it scary that it's happening now? Yes. But we can't do much about it now because we've already sunk ourselves in to deep. Scientists have already determined to stop global warming, we have to cease putting out CO2 emissions completely in a few years. That means we'd have to give up everything precious to us (electricity, cars, etc) so we can save our planet. And since most of us are concerned more with pleasure and ease than having a safe place to live, that's not going to happen any time soon.

our world is surely in peril.we are standing at the real danger situation and still we are moving forward.i really dont know how are we going to bring awareness among our people.
yea this is nervous situation.i even feel sometimes that this global warming could go out of our hand any day.it has caused a lot of trouble. To start with the very example you gave,is a very risky condition the sea level could rise rapidly if these kind of ice chunks keeps falling.man that's a danger.and more over these unseasonal rains, hot climates these are some hardships that we will be facing and that too it will grow bigger and bigger.
Have you got any idea, something anything by which we can bring awareness among the people???

Its scary when you thin about what direction this planet is heading towards. Explains the extreme weather and even though we are being educated, people are overall not doing anything about stopping the damage.
