Insomnia, sleep apnea or anything else related to sleep. Do you have trouble falling asleep, or even staying asleep? I know I do, I can't sleep for a long time, I always wind up waking up at the oddest hours. How do you deal with this?

I mostly have trouble falling asleep -- insomnia. Once in awhile I will wake up in the middle fo the night and not be able to fall back asleep. It's very frustrating. I have tried sleeping pills, not eating anything past a certain time, going to the bathroom before bed... Nothing seems to work. Even sometimes when I am totally exhausted I STILL cannot fall asleep. I hate it!

That's exactly what happens to me, I've tried it all and nothing has helped.

Do you keep irregular sleeping hours? If so try to get your body to adjust to the timings. Our body has timings, some fixed ones. You have to adjust to that. If you sleep say at 10 one day , at 3 am the next day .... your body will not accept your timings. Make it regular sleeping time . Fix it and see. You'll find change in the sleeping pattern also. All the best

I'm like you. I have trouble sleeping and when I do fall asleep, I wake up every hour. I usually have to take sleeping pills if I want to get a decent night sleep :)

Yes YES, and a lot of others are as well..I find i cannot sleep at night..It is now 3:10 am and i am up...I will go to bed in awhile and i will sleep some (maybe) and i am up again...I talked with my brother in law and he says he is having the same problem..My friend has that problem too,she may go to bed at 3:am in the morning and up at 7am...it is tough,i have even been thinking od sleeping pills, but i don't want to do that, maybe i will get some tylenol pm's...It is driving me nuts and i cannot find out why this is...I have blamed it on this time change, but it has been going on way to long....Never have i ever had this problem before and i do not understand it but i have got to do something soon..This is not healthy...

I used to have really bad problems sleeping when I was in my teens, I just couldn't get to sleep, i'd lie awake for hours even when tired, the smallest thing helped though, I just switched ends of the bed and I found it easier to get to sleep! Unfortunately in my early 20's I had chronic fatigue syndrome (still do just more manageable now) I was constantly tired and sleeping much more than usual along with many other things. I do love to sleep just not that much!

I do and I'm positive I get it from my parents. If I get a nap in during the day, I can't fall asleep. If I drink caffeine later than usual, I can't sleep. For other reasons beyond my comprehension, I can't sleep. My mom tells me reading helps a person fall asleep. That only works some of time. I think I just don't get quality sleep at night for some reason. For me, if I'm hoping tomorrow won't ever come, I fall asleep much easier, but then I get mad when it's daylight again. Heh.

I have never had the trouble of sleeping.I can sleep to the time to get up without awake. But since I come to the college I can't.I often wake up at midnight that make me very angry,so I begine to try to go to sleep late. Then I find it turn better because I'm so tired that I won't wake up again.I think you can find something to do before you go to sleep.I think the best way is listening some songs so that it can make you relax.I think it maybe work.

I also suffer from insomnia. I find it very difficult to go to sleep at night. I'm usually wake until 4 or 5 in the morning and it makes it very difficult to wake up. I always set my alarm clock, but I always fall asleep after that. What I do nowadays is get someone to wake me up in the morning. It works, maybe not all the time, ut it does help. And then during the day, I try to stay awake, avoid taking naps. That usually helps me to sleep a bit earlier. If I do that, I usually fall asleep around 3.
