Are you Childlike or Childish?

To look at the world with childlike wonder eh? I cannot remember when was the last time I actually did that. I may take a trip down to the library to see what the book is all about. Interesting book you got there. Might be a good read. Thanks for the recommend.

Hi, 34momma! That is a great book, I have read it. Marianne Wiliamson has some wonderful insights. I woudl like to be more childlike, but unfortunately I'm pretty childish. I need to work on that.

I do my best to be childlike and look at the world through the eyes of a child. The Bible says that unless we become as little children, we will not enter into the kingdom of Heaven. I usually trust people first, until they give me a reason not to. I treat everyone the same, as far as race, religion, or handicap. God is my daddy and I do my best to please him. I do not hold on to a lot of past guilt. There are no mistakes in life only lessons. I have the ability to forgive like a child. But because everyone does not have that ability, my forgiveness is often looked upon as childishness. I basically try to be the best me that I can be, with God's guidance and help.

How awesome momma. That's a great book. You know me and how I believe....if we could see the world, as well as ourselves, the way God sees us and the way He intended, it might make better sense. It sure puts a different spin on things.

I wish i could be more child like, i have the odd moments especially when i am messing around and playing with the kids, but i think reality comes crashing back when you realise you have bills to pay a job to go to and children to feed, take care of and provide for. I love seeing the child like qualities in them and really encourage it as i had a bad childhood and had to grow up really quickly i dont have many fond childhood memories and i am adamat my children will have all of the ones i didnt. Apparently tho my Ex partner said i am very child like and i told my therapist that, she told me i was allowed to be as i was reliving my childhood through my childrens and along with them, that is why i so enjoy sitting and playing with them or painting or spalshing around in puddles.
