I didn't break my arm skating I broke my arm bullriding. The bull shattered the bones all in the lower and upper part of the arm. For me it was more mind over matter. I got back to bullriding with the cast. Even though doctors advised me against it. I did what I wanted to do. Usually with a broken bone it depends on the bone you break and how severe the bone breakage was. For me it took over 8 months for it to fully heal. That was after physio and strength training on it as well. Start off little and work your way up. Some people also heal faster than others. But it should come back with some thearpy and taking care of the bone. Or just forget about the pain and move on if you really want to.

I have seen people skating in casts, but you are losing muscle tone in a cast. Once the cast comes off, I would just wear a wrist guard and elbow pads to try to reduce some of the impact. It kind of depends where you broke the bone. Anytime you impacts something that is still healing it is going to hurt unless it is completely stabablized and even then it will probably still hurt.
