sen.obama's speech on the state of americas' mind on racial matters

i would like to discuss this particular speech because the people of the u.s.a. have been stuffing this issue down into the most darkest places in our mind. we stopped talking about it when the last of the great leaders of the 20th century was killed. now the senator has brought it back up, and i think it should be discussed by all americans who are tired of politics in washington is as usual. i mean it is the same old song and dance routine. i saw on a cnn podcast this past weekend where they posed the question as to whether or not sen.obama should have done that. now i,like most americans, want to know what is really going on with the democrats. first off i am glad he did it, because we have been ignoring this issue for too long and we really need to heal all the anger and hatred that all races harbor still. granted, he didn't clearly explain what he meant with the comment about his white grandmother, however, i am certain that those who comprehened what he meant was his grandmother was raised like other children of her generation to either hate, fear or shun one race or another. believing that one race was more superior to all others. and i believe that his pastor has the same way of believing as she does. also this brings to mind the other item, does everyone think that sen.obama cannot have a single independant thought or decision on his own? if you do, then we had better start thinking about sen.clinton and her former pres. clinton, husband. she has been with him alot longer than obama has been with pastor wright, and i feel that the former pres. will have more influence over her than the pastor will have over obama. when i was growing up, i was taught to gather all the information you can before you make a decision, so when you did make the decision it would be an informed one and it is yours and yours alone. if it went bad then we would know where to go to fix it. granted there will be others that will try to influence that decision, but in the end it will be your decision alone. it has gotten to the point now that all of these problems that the democrats are causing for each other. i am afraid that they are giving the seat to bush/mccain. if they don't want this to happen, then i suggest that the democratic superdelagates put an end to what is happening. then again, it may already be too late.
