My friends here will know about some of my 6 year old daughter Niamhs antics and sweet gestures. After getting a new laptop the kids now have access to my old one! I do have parental controls setup but I let them use the email as they like as long as homework etc has been done! Tonight I got an email in totally out of the blue it was from niamh and she had cc'd her Dad on it too! Here is a copy/paste of it
i love love you all the same you mean so much to me your all here for me and
you all love me so i love you your the best i ever had the one and only mum and
dad your the best thank you
your the best
Guess who was in tears? Isn't this cute? Do you get emails from your kids? Tell me some of the things they have done to make you weepy? Look forward to hearing your stories xxx

That is fantastic, if I was a mum I would be proud!! You should send her an email back similiar say that you love her and that it was a lovely email, it made you feel very special.
I read that someone suggested framing it, I think thats a fantasic idea and would make niamh feel wonderful as she did something that made you proud and happy!!
This sure makes up for all her bad moments hey!!
Kids you just gotta love them.

Funnily enough I did send her an email back (through the tears) telling her I was very proud of her and how much I loved her - the reply came back " thank you very much" lol I can never stay angry with either of them for very long but Niamh has a knack of making you feel so very blessed! xxxx

Oh Mo, that is a keeper.... i would print it out and frame it. I have done so with a few of my boys cards like that from when they were little. You know Even as old as they have gotten and strong southern men they have made, they still like to read them and see them hanging on the walls. How precious.

I guess I should tell you about specific things though.... Both the older boys made in kindergarten hand prints with a little poem between the prints of thier hands and to this day if I try and read it aloud I break into tears. They are framed and dated each respectively. But all of those precious hand made and colored mothers day cards and birthday cards, or just the I love you I have managed to save and frame artistically, I ADORE MAT BOARD! And like I said as big and bad as they think they are they are reduced to children once again when I catch them standing and reading them....or admiring their own handiwork.

*big smile on my face* :) That is the most sweetest thing I have ever read mummymo
My son writes us notes and puts them on our fridge from time to time and says "I love you mom, dad and annie (his friend LOL)"
