My mother and I are always arguing about drying used towel under the sun. She said its bad to dry it under the sun because you will have bad odor. I say drying it under the sun causes the odor-causing bacteria to die. Which is which?

I don't think that sunshine will kill bacteria. It is better to let them dry in the sun before putting it in the laundry so it doesn't mold or mildew. The heat of a clothes dryer will kill the bacteria but I don't think drying it in the sun does the same thing. I could be wrong.... Blessed Be, Mari
