Funny stories that illustrate crime does not pay...

I heard on the radio that recently a man tried to rob a store and was told that no one was able to open the safe except the manager. The robber asked where the manager was and was told that he was elsewhere and would arrive at the store later on. The robber left his cellphone number and asked to be called when the manager returned... so he could come back and rob the store. The store employees called the police. The police later called the man on his cell phone and arrested him. I also seem to remember a man trying to get into someone's house... He got stuck as he was trying to climb in through a window and had to call 911. Wondering what funny stories have you heard that illustrate that crime does not pay?
