I can remember arriving for an interview early... I got into the parking lot which veered to the left and I ended up having my accelerator peddle stick and zoomed forward straight into some bushes. I leveled them and then zoomed forward into a wall. I was so relieved to finally stop as I had wondered for a moment if I ever would. I was uninjured. I was fine. But just I said to myself,"I've stopped, nothing more can happen," I saw a geyser of water shoot up into the air like Old Faithful. I had broken the back flow device of the building's sprinkler system and water was flying everywhere. I had driven into a parking lot for three large high rise buildings. looked up to see the faces a lot of people in those building looking down at me and felt like I was in the midst of an I Love Lucy rerun only this time I was Lucy. As people started pouring out of the buildings suffering from the looky Lou syndrome, it looked as if someone could have made a mint from lemonaide and pop corn sales if someone had been there to hawk them as it was obvious that I had provided a diversion on that July day. One man came over to the car and asked me if I was okay. I said "yes" but that I hoped he would let the people upstairs know that I would be late for my job interview. I wound up having eventually to exit my car and got soaked by the fountain I had created. I walked to the interview dripping and leaving puddles behind me. My shoes squeeked as I walked and had to ask for a chair that would not get ruined if I sat in it. My hair was still dripping when I was interviewed by a panel of three people. One man who saw me going in the elevator on the way to the interview expressed his good wishes, and said, " You deserve this job...If you can go through an interview after that accident you sure have the ability to deal with a crisis!" Apparently, the ones who hired me to be a social worker/ care coordinator for developmentally disabled individuals and their families thought so to. I got the job and worked in it for 11 years... Wondering what embarrassing, unusual, odd, funny or different job interviews have you been on?

That definitely beats any job interview story that I can recall. I have been known to look at people funny or end the interview myself when people tell me the hourly wage of a job. :)

I can bet that occurs... That "Say what? Are you kidding?" look... Some people ask about wages prior to the interview on the phone or in email, makes it a bit easier on everyone if they do. That way if the wage is too low, then you don't have to attend the interview and they don't have to go through the trouble of interviewing either. I think that the interview process must be rather funny at times for the interviewee and the interviewer... a lot of funny looks amoung other things.
