Personally I do not know extensive health factors for eating banana. But I do love eating banana, especially for breakfast and it helps me have a good digestion. I eat banana alone or include it in oatmeal. From what I know banana is rich in potassium that is good source of fiber. I always eat banana after a gym work out. It is like an energy food for me.

Hi Suren, We in India a;ways believe that a banana a day keeps the doctor away. It has too many medicinal properties. Not only bananas the stem which is removed after cutting the tree down, The pcentre portion is very good for removal of kidney stones etc. Banana has sodium and potassium which our body needs and als other minerals. I'll give you one or two sites from which you can get the details. www.medicinalfoodnews.com/vol05/issue1/banana www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=foodspice&dbid=7 All the best dear. Please do check out.

It is the potassium that is good for your heart! Too much potassium is bad for your heart, but too little is very bad for your heart and your health! The fiber in bananas is also an excellent way to stay healthy! It is also a healthy way to increase your blood sugar, as it will not cause a spike in blood sugar!
