Way back in 1978, I saw RUSH at the Salt Palace, in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was the Hemispheres tour and they were unbelievable. After half a lifetime, I've got tickets to see them again. This time in Milwaukee at Summerfest. Both me and the members of RUSH are older and have been through 30 years of the ups and downs of living, but once again, our paths will cross for a few hours of rocking good time!

I was RUSH about 3 years back in Milwaukee. I myself was never really a fan, but my boyfriend wanted to go for his birthaday. They were awesome. One of the best drum solos I have ever seen.

Oh yeah! A lot of bands are doing away with drum solos. They say solos have become "cliche". Rush fans would feel completely ripped off if there at least 10 minutes of a Rush concert wasn't taken by The Professor. It isn't drum solos that have become cliche, it's just that most drummers bore us with cliche drum solos.

It must be an exciting and incredible feeling to be seeing a band which you enjoy, for the second time after waiting so long! I hope the concert proves to be everything you hope it will be and more!....30 years, wow! That's almost my entire lifetime, I was only 3 back in 1978! Anyway, I don't know when Summerfest is, but have fun while you're there!

Yeah, until now my record was 25 years between seeing a band in concert. That was Cheap Trick, who I saw in Tampa back in 1981, then at Summerfest in 2006. Now, if Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods ever go on tour again, I could really break a record, I saw them in 1974! ;~D

isn't that something! did you ever think in 1978 you would be seeing them again thirty years down the road? do you have the tour book from back then? or maybe a football jersey? it would be cool to present them to be signed in 2008. I used to like to listen to my brother's Rush albums the songs that come to mind right away for me are: limelight and its flip side Tom Sawyer were my favorites and probably why I recall them. The way the wind blows Closer to the Heart. hmmm reckon I do not recall much after all this time. have a good reminisce.

Didn't give 2008 any thought way back then. 1980 seemed like something too far away to matter. I don't have to "remember", I still listen to the old Rush as much as the new stuff. Now, try to get me to name more than a few new songs by a new artist.. that might be harder for me. Coheed & Cambria and 3 Doors Down are about as new as I get lately.

I saw Bob Dylan twice and that was 30 years apart too! I saw him at the Isle of Wight Festival in England in 1969 when I was just 18 (yeah, work it out....!) and then again in Birmingham in 1999. His second performance was better! Happy Days!

Isle of Wight in 69 gives you some pretty hefty bragging rights there!
