My Decorating Theme Is Comfort

What's yours? I all about comfort in our home. It's nothing fancy, but we like it. I like huge, overstuffed furniture mixed with antiques. That might sound like it doesn't go together, but I have pieces I've had for ages and don't want to get rid of them.
We have hardwood floors with several throw rugs throughout the house. Our home is filled with lots of color. No white walls for me.
Yep. It's all about the comfort in our house. Do you have a theme in your home?

I think my style is children friendly and liveable. I like peaceful colors in my living room and bright fun colors in my kitchen. I like for my home to be a place where the children can sit on the couch and watch tv. I want it to be a home where if they spill something i don't have to pay hundreds of bucks to get it cleaned. I just like a home that is full of things everyone loves not just me.

Sounds like comfort to me momma. My office is a soft yellow. Makes me think of sunshine. The living room is a desert sand color with a burgundy accent wall. That same wall extends into my kitchen. The opposite wall in the kitchen is sage green. The cabinets are oak and I have a black marble counter with black and silver appliances. The bathroom is baby blue and white. (Our tub and toilet is baby blue from the 1950s). The bedroom is light gray. The laundry room is a lighter gray with painted brick. My honey picked all the colors. I just did the work.
It's comfy.....

i love yellow. my living room this time is like a mix between lavendar and gray. It's just a very calming and peaceful color. my kitchen is like a granny smith apple green which i am going to love once i get the paint up on the walls. LOL i hope this weekened. my bathroom is red and white. my bedroom is a very boring white. I have not done anything to my bedroom in years

But it sounds like you are in the process.....fix up paint up.
We're painting the outside of our house sage green with dark sage trim in a few months. I'm looking forward to it.
