Do you sit down at a dinner table and have family dinners or do you all eat whenever wherever? I really enjoy our family dinners. We do it as often as possible. Do you talk about your days? Do you learn more about your kids at the dinner table? Thanks in advance for reading and responding!

We aren't always home at dinner time. Some maybe out doing other things but as long as your home at dinner time you have to sit and have a family dinner. Don't take me wrong they aren't out playing missing dinner, but working or other school activities.

We have kind of a unique take on family dinners. We all always eat the same thing, I usually make a meal or for a special occasion my mom will make a meal but once the meal is prepared, we take our plates and go in our own directions. Most of us take it into the living room and watch television while eating while my mom usually retreats to her room. I don't remember the last time we ate at the dinner table together.

I miss family dinners. We (being close friends) try and do it when all off on a sat or sunday. It does seem to give a sense of family and closeness that can be missing in day to day lives. Reminds us of who and what is important in this world.

We always seem to have different schedules, so it's usually just my son and I at the table. We talk a bit but that boy loves to eat so he just shovels his food down and leaves to play-he's got a lot of things to do lol. My sister just started something cool with her kids, once a week they all sit on the living room floor (tv off of course) and have a picnic-I thought that was pretty cool since we've had nasty weather and it's something different.

We don't sit down together at dinner very much because all our schedules are so different here. We do get together and talk about our day as much as we can though. Or at least I find out about every else's day, mine doesn't seem to be as interesting to the family,

Family dinners have been a very important part of our daily routine since my son was born. We eat together at least 6 days a week. I make it a priority because I know when he gets older it won't be as easy. If it is already a habit it won't be a big deal. Plus, I really love that we get that time together each day to focus on each other. No TV, no phone, no anything but us.

We eat dinner as a family as often as possible too. We watch a movie with dinner twice a week and eat at the table 5 times a week. We also have a big breakfast and lunch at the table on weekends. Weekends normally include sleep over friends. We also love to play board games after dinner. I like board games because I feel the kids learn so much from them.
