Have you ever tried to find the end of a rainbow?

I mean, where it supposedly touches down on the ground? I think I might have when I was younger, but I could never reach it, no matter where I went or how fast I ran. Do you think there's anything special at the end of a rainbow like a leprechaun with a pot of gold? I'm convinced that's a myth.

I remember trying to find the end of the rainbow when I was a kid. Never found it but boy did I want to. Wasn't really interested at the time in the pot of gold so much as to find the leprechaun. I thought that would be neat. I know we cannot reach the end, that's the magic of the rainbow (or the science depending on who you talk to ) that it will always move away from us to hide it's ending point.

I always wanted to find the end of the rainbbow when I was little. I always asked my mom to drive me there, lol. But now I don't believe in it anymore.

Rainbows do not usually arch to touch the ground, and they are not where you see them: the distance to the place where the light goes through the water drops to difract (sp?) and create the rainbow is an important factor to take into account. Then there are also circular rainbows, twin rainbows, and even more marvels related to this beautiful atmospheric phenomenon. But no leprechaun...
