I had one of my wisdom teeth pulled a few months ago. It doesn't hurt that bad, the roots are pretty short on a wisdom tooth believe it or not. I was scared too, but it really wasn't bad at all. It hurts a little bit after the novacaine wears off, but I am sure they will give you pain meds for it. Don't worry to much, and do what they tell you to do. Ice it up and stuff.

You're Welcome Really, Don't be scared, I am the biggest chicken when it comes to dentists and I really mean it, it's not that bad, you will be surprised how fast they come out.

I rally depends on how many you have pulled at once. If you have one pulled it wont hurt that much when the numbing medicine wears off. If you get 2 or more (all) of them pulled, then you will for sure have some pain when the numbing medicine wears off. You'll want to have some pain medicine for afterwords and ibuprophen will not do the trick. When he offers you ibuprophen, ask for vikodines. I have had a ton of dentistry done in the last few months. After a wile, you start getting used to the pain and it doesnt bother you as much. Good luck to you.

I actually just got home from getting all four of wisdom teeth surgically removed. They just came out like 2 hours ago and I woke up from a nap to take more medications and go back to sleep. I am so mad because I just want to eat something, but they say i can only have yogurt!! My mouth is very bloody, and I have to replace gauze pads every 45 minutes or so with new ones. The numbing is starting to wear off, so I haven't felt any pain really, just the discomfort of being numbed. I highly recommend you "go to sleep" when going to take your wisdom teeth out, because one minute your just sitting there talking to the docture and the next minute your awake and they are done. So yeah dont be scared, I will check back to let you know how my healing is going.
