Do you check your kids ringtones on their cells? Or do you think that is their personal privacy? If you did listen and found them distasteful would you delete them and have a talk with them? My niece came over the other day and wanted me ot listen to her ringtones on her new phone and I was shocked by some and disturbed by a few others and then they were some I wouldn't even let a kid have. I admit I laughed at a few that I thought were funny but some weren't age appropiate I thought anyhow. Why do ringtones have to be so nasty sometimes? I know it is their choice but when I asked her why she said cause she liked them and some her friends sent to her. Her mom doesn't care said she learn more at school from the teachers. Is that any reason not to monitor the stuff they listen to or have on their cell.

I am happy that I do not have young children anymore, but no I would not let some of that garbage the listen available to my child if I still had one.

I dont have kids yet but I would not allow even my sisters kids to have ringtones that are unpleasant to the ears of other people. Kids grow up the way you want and letting them have funny ringtone might hitback in the future. I think you need to talk to her parents about it and shed some light to them on the effects of such stuff.

It is my sister in laws child and she doesn't like people to butt into her business so I just told my niece she shouldn't have them and she said why her mom olets her and doesn't care. Maybe that is what is wrong wih the world today. The songs continue to get dirtier and so does the ringtones. If it was my child I would delete them, then warn if I caught anymore one there that wasn't her age appropiated that she would lose her cell phone priviledges for awhile.
