Hospital keeping up with the times....how cool!

As I was looking through the site of the hospital my ex is in for their address to send him a card I came across something that I think is awesome. You can send an email to any patient in the hospital. They check it every morning at 9am and start delivering them at 11am. My ex called me yesterday morning laughing...as much as he could after having what ended up being quadruple bi pass surgery on Tuesday. We had some pretty funny things to say to each other and I think this is a great way to perk up the spirits of someone who is stuck in the hospital and not feeling so great. Do you know of any hospitals in your area that do the same thing? Would you email someone you know who is in the hospital? Do you think this is a cool idea ?
