The recent law suit against south park is from Steve Erwins wife because of an episode they made feturing him shortly after he passed. What do you think? Do they go to far? Have you ever been offended by the show?

i have been offended by the show and it seems like they do go to far but then i think to myself, they do it for jokes and attention. they have the right to say what they want and that i should have no reason to be offended. i just don't watch it anymore because i don't want my son seeing such bad influences.

I really love the show, I think that every show teaches you to not take life so seriously, true Steve Erwin isn't long in the grave and it seems inappropriate but honestly, people as a whole are way too nosy and all in famous people's business, I think that acting offended is ridiculous because those same people were the ones who said what Steve Erwin did for a living was crazy when in truth he was a passionate and driven man. I don't pretend to know the grief his wife is living with but suing someone for exercizing free speech is a little much. I think the only thing I've ever been offended by relating to south park was when Isaac Hayes quit the show over their jokes about his "religion". What a hypocrite. He didn't mind making jokes about Barbara Streisand, Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, the list goes on and on and on.

Of course they're going to do stuff that offends people, cause they want to catch people's attention. Any publicity is good publicity. They figure even if people are speaking out against their show, people are still talking about it, which is going to create more of a stir in the end. Why do you think people do some of the stuff they do? For the shock factor.

I think some of the things go too far but maybe that's a good think. In going over board with some of the things they talk about, it may shock people into realising that it may be funny, but it really isn't ok to say things like that. I can't believe they get away with the things they do but it would never influence me to act that way or do any of those things so I don't see that there's a problem! If lots of children were being influenced by it then I would say it had to stop but people know it's only a tv show.
