Do you still use a house phone or do you only use a cell phone? We have both. I still use my landline to connect to the internet. I give non important people my house number and the people that I need to talk to have my cell number. How bout you?

We have both too. I use cellphone to call my husband whenever he's at work and I'm outside the house somewhere doing my thing. Then we have a landline, we use it mostly for calls that lasts more than 10minutes. And I use it to call overseas and talk to my friends, it's cheaper because we have a package that includes calls anywhere around the world for 20bucks. I never gave out my cellphone numbers to anyone but my family and friends.

Looks like in this case we all think the same way so far.

Yes, I do. I have it for local calls. I like being able to be on the phone with friends.

That save a few bucks. We also keep it so my kids can talk on the phone since they do not have cell phones. They don't like the fact that they don't have one but oh well, life goes on.

We actually have both but a lot of my friends have started getting rid of their landlines and relying solely on their cellphones. I give a lot of businesses and people that can just leave a messege my house number and friends and people that I actually want to get a hold of my cell phone number. I don't want my dentist and other doctors calling my cell phone all the time but I like being able to screen calls on my cell phone. We only have the basic service for our landline and no caller ID or anything because we use it so rarely.

I don't have a landline nowadays. So save money I just settled to only have a mobile phone.

I'm exactly like you... I do have a home phone but I don't use it much... I have a home phone because I have DSL for internet... I give my home phone # to telemarketers & people I don't want to talk to... My home phone's hooked up to an answering machine & the ringer is turned off...

We still use the house phone as our main source for people to contact us. My daughter is the only one in the house who has a cell phone, But I do admit that when we go out of the house somewhere we do use it to contact each other.

We still have both, but I am thinking about getting the landline disconnected. I'm paying for 1,400 minutes per month on the cellphone and we are only using a fraction of that. Plus all of our long distance is included, where as on our landline long distance is a separate charge. Money-wise it just seems like turning off the landline would save us some.

Yes of course, I have also a landline. I have a line because I need it when I am in my home and beside of this the payment is very cheap compare to cellphone when you use a cellphone to call a landline.

not only do we still have a landline, we have a rotary phone! we moved in to this house last month and when i was showing my son how to use it he kept saying "mommy stop that! you're going to break it!" since the wheel would spin, lol. it was so funny. if it were up to me we would not have a landline. however since our situation is unusual and we are living on my hubby's family property they won't let us get rid of the phone no matter how much we want to. i use my cell phone for everything. the landline is useful for people calling and waking up a sleepy baby, that's about it :)

I use my landline for internet and everyone else in my family uses the landline to contact one another, however most of my friends contact me though the computer or my mobile phone, so I don't directly use the landline that much.
