you just write comment directly to a discussion?
I make comments to a discussion directly. I dont bother reading other members comments. But there are times when the topic is so intriguing, that I cant help but read some of the comments.

Normaly I don't read others responses because my thoughts on that subject get diverted due to it. But sometimes I don't stop from reading because the subjects are interesting and I like to know what others do think about it.
