Did you all see this on the news last night? I guess this man used to be a woman and did not have the reproductive organs removed. They say that he has been artifically inseminated. I guess this man is married to a woman and he really looks like a man. What do you all think of this?

I think good for them. Sounds like a happy loving couple that can provide a good home. Can't say all parents can give that to their children.

I think a lot of things*L* If she wanted to be a man why would she or he have the baby and not the woman he is married to. Can you imagine the looks people will give when a man walks down the street pregant? I guess they are a couple so having a baby is fine I just don't understand the logic of it. I am going to have to look this story up to see if I can find out more about it. Just amazing.

His wife had to have a hysterectomy years ago, that's why she can't carry the baby.

Yesterday I saw this article and responded on another thread here on mylot. The wife in this relationship had a hysterectomy for medical reasons, that's why they decided the husband (who is still physically a woman) should carry a pregnancy.

Strange but good for them i mean really... If one wasn't able to have a baby than yeah the other should... However I don't know how I'd feel knowing that my hubby was once a female.. I think that would creep me out some.. I think he'd have man parts though right.. I don't know kinda of a strange thought is all... but really good for the both of them..

I think a man's claim of pregnancy might not be impossible.

I think it's great that a loving couple who are devoted to having a child are going to be able to be parents. Lots of us women wish our husband could be pregnant for us so I don't have a problem with it at all. I also think it's a step ahead for these so called "alternative families" The deserve as much if not more acceptance than 'traditional families'.

I think great for them they obviously are looking to give a child a loving stable home im sure they will have troubles over the years to do with their gender etc but tbh I think that comes mostly from other people haveing a problem with it and not being able to let people just live their lives. Id not want my partner to carry my babies god no he moaned about my bump being in the way (ok so i was huge but come on) imagine if he had had the bump haha!

I think it is great he is able to have the child for them. But I also find it strange he decided he wanted to be a man and went thru so much and now is going back to the part of him that is still a woman. A little confusing in the least.

Wow, that is kind of crazy. But maybe they chose to have him carry the child because she was physically unable to do so. In any case, I applaud them for having the nerve to do something that is probably going to raise a few eyebrows. I think as long as the child is brought into a loving family environment, it doesn't really matter how he/she is brought into the world.
