The police scanner has been going off about someone with a severely injured man in his car trying to get to the hospital. They aren't from around here and are lost. Their last cell phone call said they are going up a dirt road towards a lake...well that's OUR road. And that the injured man is now unconcious. My stepson just ran out the door to try to help them. The life flight helicopter is on stand by for as soon as they get found. So far I haven't heard anything yet...I hope someone finds them in time or they find their way off this hill at least. My stepson might cause a lot of stress but I am so proud of him right now!

All I know is that someone else did eventually find the car and they flew the injured man out on the helicopter. I get all of thr previous day's notifications all at once every morning so that's been fun to wade through! And since I wasn't on since Saturday...there were 189 notifications in a row this morning!

I hope everything turns out well with this. How old is your grandson, that is great that he went to help. Maybe he will become a rescue worker, EMT/Paramedic, Fire or Police. Good work grandson.

My stepson will be 18 in June. After he came back from looking for the guy he commented on how maybe he should do that kind of thing more often. I told him I thought it was a good idea and that he could start training now if he wanted...I almost think he might consider it.

What a good Man!! You should be so proud of him. He did a good thing. You never know maybe he will join the ambulance crew or fire department if he likes to help people. I know in that situation I would have done the same thing. I would have run out the door to find this man. Hes in need and could be hurt badly. ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always~ Copper

Hello foxy, for sure you have a very brave stepson and that is really something to be proud of, -smiles-. That is not what most people would "jump off" to do, but he has done that. I think you have certainly instilled good moral values in him for he had done a very good deed to others. I know this discussion was 4 weeks ago, so how's everything now?

Somebody else found them first and directed them down to the main road, he was taken by abmulance from there to where the helicopter was staging. The guy driving and calling 911 was really panicked so no one knew how it happened, just that the guy was badly injured.
