When did the Easter Bunny stop coming to your house?

This Easter my parents sat me and my sister down and told us to keep our Easter baskets, meaning this was the last year for the Easter bunny. It was devasting. Of course, maybe it has to do with neither of us live at home, my sister is 30 and I'm 27, married and have a child on the way. Of course that means it's now time for us to start our own traditions. When did the Easter bunny stop coming around for you? How did your parents break the news? Have you kept the same traditions for your family or have they differed?

I was 9 when i found out the easter bunny wasnt real, but my parents continued giving me at least some easter candy until i was about 12 or 13. My husband and I havent done easter egg hunts yet with our children but they get a good easter basket every year and they are 3,4, and stepson 5

It was such a fun tradition while I was growing up. As a kid, you don't really understand the meaning of the holidays, so you need something else to look forward to. I know my parents loved seeing us search for our Easter baskets each year. They went so far as to mail my sisters Easter basket to her roommate to hide it for her one year.

Did you have any traditions over Easter? Like an Easter egg hunt in the yard? Or a basket of candy?
