Well it looks as if this family has just had another of its scrapes with death. For sure im here for a purpose. It happened like this....From about christmas time I have had problems with aches and pains in my arms and legs and back too. I havent been able to bend somedays. My husband has also had a lot of pain, feeling sick without actually being sick, feeling very tired and getting out of breath easily. Well he also has had a long-standing pain under his ribs. He got kicked at work and the dr has treated him for stress. Well, i have been falling asleep in the day at home. Yesterday a neighbour came knocking, she could smell gas, so she told me she had called the suplier. Well, they couldnt find a leek so checked our adjoining property, fuinding our fire has been passing out carbon monoxide... It has been closed down, but how long have we been poisoned, how lucky are we all and how near were we to just not waking up?
Any thing like this ever happened to you?

Crumbs that was a narrow escape for you! No wonder you were feeling sick and ill! You're so lucky that it was found, it doesn't bear thinking about! Glad you came out of it ok and are here to post another discussion! Brightest Blessings!

Its a strange feeling, we are so very very lucky to be alive. It sort of makes you feel every day is worth while and has got me thinking about worrying, a bit silly isnt it?

Hi there well it certainly looks like someone or something was watching over you and i'm glad your all ok perhaps your landlord should do a service of the appliances to make sure its all in order. I do believe this is a legal requirement these days tc xx

Goodness EsKaren I hope that you are all going to get checked out on this and yes you are very lucky that you have not been poisoned, have you not got one of those sticker thing that shows when there is carbon monoxide, if not I think you better get one

no, we had no indication but both bob and I have been realy tired lately and he has had pains in his chest, all have seemed marjinally better today

Wow.. I am happy now that my near paranoia regarding gas is not in vain. Several years ago, I bought a carbon monoxide detector and set it up. Fortunately, it has never been triggered, but looking at it the other day, it said to replace in 3 years. We've had it at least 5! Thanks for posting this, you have reminded me not to forget to get a new one, because I had.. If you understand all that! LOL

well, i have no detector, but certainly will be fitting one over the next couple of days. I feel as though i have been given a chance lol so im going to make the most of it

No have not had this happen to me but how lucky you and your family found this out when you did! This is really quite frightening to think that we take for granted that the mod cons of today are safe but in fact this is not always the case. And quite often it is a case of an accident waiting to happen. Glad all is well and you start to feel better now.
