Inflation is a term more in action than just a word. Al of us face the challenges of inflation one way or another. What does inflation mean to you? How about your life examples of inflation challenges and how do you overcome them?

It's just a piece of rubber untill you put it to your mouth and blow into it, then it becomes a balloon. We can create our own inflation and its makes for a happy occasion when there are lots of balloons around. Have a great day from Deeeky

I understood the aim of the discussion but I thought that inflation had many forms for many people and blowing up balloons came into my mind straight away lol I remember when government decided to link inlation in thier initatives to raise or lower the interest rates to counteract inflation and did get it wrong sometimes. It has now been kept steady for a while but who knows what may happen next with the world banks in turmoil.

You are probably trying to be funny about this discussion. Anyway, thanks for the cheer. We are discussing about economic inflation and not balloons.

Inflation to me means paying a higher price for lower quality products mostly. Everything cost more and more but manufacturers are making cheaper and cheaper things...

Yes, good and kudos for technogy that is helping us to counter inflation. Each of us will have found ways to beat or arrest inflation in our own life.

I don't know, actually I think I use less of the 'modern' technologies and convert back more and more to doing things the way our forefathers did - growing a good share of our own food, hand making things rather than buying them, walking or riding bike whenever possible rather than driving, even used fireplace for heat more this past winter rather than fuel oil.
