why are some people so thick headed.

I suppose it is everywhere, but do you find that there are some people who don't see outside of the box? Take for example you have an idea. Its a good idea, but it is not in keeping with society wants. Example goats milk versus cows milk. Yeah - people want to be seen with these huge animals, but not want to be associated with the smaller one. What about areas that don't promote home food production, and encourage heavy industrial instead? Usually you find it is one person who overseas, and I often wonder how this one person got into such a position of power. How many people do you know that fits this description?
