Does McDonald's need to improve something?

I like eating in McDonald's. However, I think it uses a lot of disposable products and it's quite a big waste everyday. I hope it can try to use less of these products as it's so harmful for the environment.

Hmm... packaging has to be done in order for it to sell its products. What kind of packaging do you think McDonalds should be improving on in order to make it easy to serve the food FAST?

Try not to use the paper cups and so on. It's so waste. I know it can save time to use these products, but it's very harmful for the environment on the other hand.

I think Macdonalds should improve things by not putting so much salt in their chips! I find their chips far too salty and too much salt is put on them. I also think you are right about disposable packaging, it should be recyclable. Trouble with Macdonalds is that it creates so much litter which people will throw away in the streets and not use the bins provided, but I guess that's not really the staff at Macdonald's fault it's down to people being too lazy!

Fortunately the french fries here in McDonald's are not so salty.

ok. let's put the question back to you.how do you think if they do not use a styrobox to put in your food and carry it around, would you like their paper bag to do that? how about the cost of loosing your spoon and fork every hour from people using it? if you own a biz just like mcdonalds, just try to think of the best way for you to save the environment and moreover save and earn you money? i do not know other ways to make it efficient and more environmental friendly, unless they close shop.

Well, i think that is not the only thing that McDonald's need to improve... in my country... i have encountered a lot of their service crew that doesn't know a thing or two about customer service... and that is so infuriating... I remember... one cashier who irritated me because she said there was no gravy... but i found out that she was just lazy to get some inside the kitchen... then there was one who gave me the look when she made the mistake of not putting the right food in my plastic... i just hate it when these things happen...

Perhaps the crowded customers make the service go worse.

Hi youless. Yes, McDonald’s uses a lot of disposable products and I think perhaps they have been doing this for the efficiency in their services. However, I just can’t imagine how many papers, plastics, boxes and paper cups / glasses they have used per day. Since you have mentioned it, I suddenly realize that yeah, the numbers would be tons per year. Wow, it’s just frightening. But perhaps they would change it little by little in the future. I notice that a lot of countries have alerted some supermarkets to stop giving plastic bags to the buyers. I wonder how they would set the policy for restaurants or food stalls or food franchises. But my suggestion for McDonald would be that they no longer use disposable products / containers for those who eat there. I have no idea about the take away yet.

Here we have a new rule in June. And the supermarket won't provide us plastic bags.

I do not like to eat at McDonalds. I seem to get sick to my stomach every time I eat there. I can eat at every other fast food place and it does'nt have the same effect.

Although what you mentioned is a problem, I think the bigger issue is the amount of transfat they have in their burgers. In Europe McD's burgers are required to have less than 1% transfat, yet in the US that number is closer to 30%...definitely not the healthiest place to eat, but I'm sure everyone already knows that.

i think what they should improve is order accuracy!! my kids love them and my son has so many food allergies--he can have their grilled chicken. it never fails everytime we go there if i dont check the order they didnt put it in there. when i do check it before taking it home its there. when its not my son cries and then i have to go back and argue with them some, get my sons food and come back home and by the time i get all that done. everyone elses food is cold. then they want to send u coupons for a free value meal when the everyones food is ruined and you are in a plain crappy mood. for that reason we quit going and now we just go to rallys or bk.

you're right. it does use a lot of disposable products. maybe it should use more of recyclabe products (maybe they already do?) so that its less of a burden on the environment.

I agree with you but I haven't seen McDonald's uses more recycle products.
