I do, last December, i was hold-up by 4 guys (2 men and 2 women). I was waiting for a jeepney when all of a sudden, 4 guys go near me and ask me they want my cellphone and my wallet, with no words i gave them my cellphone and wallet and they went away. i felt im gonna faint after that and my mind started to think of horrible things, the what if what if scenario, i am so nervous after the moment. i am just too lucky that nothing bad happened to me. and the wallet i gave them was my coin purse so there's only around 100 pesos coins in there, and even i got a huge amount of money in there i will still give to them because no money is worth my life. how about you, have you been holdup before? share yours...

hehe yup, how kind of them to give me transportation money lolz x also another incident when i was riding a jeep going home from sm manila...i had my pc check so i carry it with me, and how stupid of me instead of taking the taxi i take the jeepney...as i was seated near the entrance/exit of the jeep. i have to adjust my pc every time a passenger is going in or out. in short my attention is on my pc. i didn't notice someone had reached my pocket and took away my cellphone. but i knew something is wrong when in the middle of the road the passenger yelled stopped to the driver. i have'nt notice my cellphone was stolen. not until the snatcher took off the jeep. in my mind should i run after the snatcher or not? if i run after i cannot catch up with them because i am carrying the pc. if i catch them what would i do? i choose to stay in the jeep and went home...for things can easily be replace...safety should come first! ^_^

Oh my gosh, I am so sorry to hear that. You must have been so frightened! And yes you were wise to give them what you did, at least your life wasn't touched. Did the police do anything about this matter? Fortunately this kind of thing has never happened to me but.. I admit I think about it a lot and the idea of it scares me! Have you gotten counseling after this, I would imagine after experiencing something so scary like this could cause PTSD or something. Well I am glad you are okay!

That is really scary.. where did this happen? this was different from the time you lost your celphone in makati right? I am glad nothing bad happened. you should have ran away fast when you gave your purse with about a hundred pesos in it... cause i think some holdapers will come back at their victims if they feel they were fooled by what they got. Be always be careful.. we can never be too safe. that is why i am always on guard. i am scared of such things happening to me... i am glad it has not happened... i might just die in that moment if it was me.

that's terrible! i haven't had that kind of experience but i would like to drive in and say 'take care' to you. please do be more careful later on and do not go to dangerous areas and when you see strange people coming closing just leave at soon as possible. and by the way, have you call the police when those guys left? i think they should be purnished and given a lesson.

Actually since that happened to me, i'm now watchful of my surrounding where ever i go...i was like alert all the time... no i didn't go the police.. i never thought of that, oh yeah why did i not do that..maybe because its my first time of being hold-up... all in my mind during that time was to call my mom.... :-(

No. I haven't been held up eversice. But that is really scary. Besides, I am not sure if I'm going to resist any holdapper I they want to take away my celphone or wallet because, first my phone is now outdated and it would be an embarrasment if they still insist on getting it, and second, my wallet has really nothing left (at least for Philippine peso currency) to date. It surely is a scary thing to even think about. Being in that kind of experience makes me wonder that anything could happen. They can pull the trigger because of anger, or fear as well. Holdappers are in a kind of psywar too. They pour you in a lot of fear, so that they can overcome their when they see you trembling. But what if you don't get to manifest fear, and instead resist. The way for them to control the situation is to pull the trigger or have their pointed instrument pierce your body. And that would be tragic. So I guess, it's not funny being held up. It puts life in an unecessary compromise. Take care though. Pass though roads and alleys which have many people passing by as well. It pays to be a little extra sensitive to your surroundings. We never know who among the people within our parameters are gonna strike as holdappers. So we could only be careful, and pray it does not happen, or ever happen to us again.

Haven't experience being rob and hopefully not. But my brother was and from his story, I was the one who's too afraid for him... what if those villains did something bad to him, what will happen to him? what will happen to my cute pamangkins... waah! Also, my cuz was victimized last december I think...

I once worked 18 days straight, out of those eighteen days only one day was a day time shift. All the rest were night shifts. I worked in a convenience store, alone, at night. The ONE night that I did not work, and instead worked a day shift my co worker got held up at knife point. She was not hurt. I am very lucky that it was not me.

I am sorry to hear that.Such scary things never happened to me, but my best friend had been beat up and robbed. It was a cloudy day, a man in her back suddenlly beat her head with a brike and grabed her purse, there were many people in the street at that time, so she catched up with the chief and took her things back. Take care when you are out, you had better walk on the main road.
