Do you think long distance relationships work?

I have never been in a ling distance relationship because I think it`s not really worth its really difficult to know what your boyfriend/girlfriend is really going outside. I mean maybe you trust him but you don`t trust the people around him and you never know when he can decide that he does not want anything more about you. I have friends that have been in a long distance realtionships and have worked but they really miss the person and they are always thinking of breaking up due to the distance. It`s no easy task and you have to be prepared. Have you ever been in a long distance realtionship? Have you suffered?

I do believe that in every relationship there must be a communication. The communication should be able to understand each others side because emotions are one of the things that bind two persons. So, in a long distance relationship it will work. if you have all the communications that can be able to be able to understand each other. Trust is also important. Its also important that both the parties should have an open communication with each other so both can still do their duties.

I believe it works fine for a start. That is, you can find a girl through online, but for further proceedings in forming a serious relationship, both individuals need to meet each other physically before they commit.
Thankfully, I have been in no relationship as far, so I'm happily single right throughout. I guess it is all in the girl/guy you lose heart to.

well.. i hv never been in a long distance relationship ...bt it can works..bcoz d relationship wants "trust,love" trust is d main source 2 maintain d long distance relationship...
one of my frnd ...they r in a long distance relationship n finally they got married. so its works ...

nope it really hard to make it work unless u dont live more then 2 states apart. most people like to beable to see there partner more then once a week or worst a month or year. its hard on both people cuz temptation my come along and theirs always the tought why am i not dating some one closer to me.

Yes, they do and can work. I am currently in one right now with my husband. He's been gone almost a year overseas and was deployed 2 years ago as well. You have to work at any relationship you are in to keep things alive and going, but being in a long distance relationship all you have are one anothers letters or emails or voices. it really can and does bring you closer together. they say absence makes the heart grow fonder and i completely agree. of course, you are gonna feel lonely at times and it does hurt to be away from the one man i was born to love, but when he comes home it's absolutely incredible and wonderful for our family to be back together again. good luck to you and God bless
