It took them all these years nad all that money and time and who knows what else, to figure out what anybody could have probably told them....egyptians had a hard life... Good grief. And here I have been believing all these years that they lived in the land of plenty and just had the best life ever!

LOL as in any society, even know the only people that have the best life are... well the ones with the money and power. All the rest.. really have it hard. Some harder than others of course, but no garden of roses:)
Maybe they would have reached that conclusion earlier if they had to carry the stones for a pyramid or two hehehehe or if they were a women and were expected to marry at 12 - although truth be said, women actually did have legal rights at that time and didn't have it as bad as other societies that came later.
But life was quite hard then. Babies had trouble surviving past the first year -with an infant mortality rate as high as 70% it sure has to be hard to populate the land grrrr and having to leave depending on the fluctuation of the Nile could really be more than a pain :)
AN interesting and advanced society no doubt, but that didn't make life than any less hard.

Of course it was hard for them. I often wondered how they did it. They had nothing, but look what they did.
