Religion is a sensitive issue. We are different in respect of our religions. should we take part in discussion of religious topic. I think we should not take part as we have different thoughts and it may cause of conflict.

In my view religion should not be discussed. It should be left to individuals to decide for themselves.

That sounds nice... but how can you make an informed decision if you haven't discussed the different religions of the world with anyone?

Yes, you are right. I make an informed decision, no doubt in it. But the decision is mine and mine only and remains with me.I need not disclose it to anyone. No religion insists for it too.

I agree with you entirely there. If you bring up the topic of religion in conversation, and the other person isn't comfortable with it, you have no right to press the issue. You also have no right to go around pushing your own religious beliefs on other people, or trying to convert people from other religions. It's not something you should be aggressive about, and you must always keep an open mind to some extent. Online, though, it's more acceptable to raise the issue because, if people don't want to, they don't have to read or respond to your post. That leaves only those who do want to have a discussion about religion, and who's to stop them if they're keeping it civil, open-minded, and mature?

I don't mind a healthy discussion. I'm open to different opinions and thoughts and believes. I'm pretty clear on what I believe. I don't like trolls. I don't like it when peole proselytize. And I don't like it when people ridicule or put others down for their beliefs. If the discussion can be respect the above, I don't mind it.

"I think we should not take part as we have different thoughts and it may cause conflict." Well, it wouldn't be a discussion if we all didn't have different thoughts, now would it? Unfortunately, the main problem is that a few people are too ignorant or closed-minded to accept and learn from the opinions of others. That said, there are easier things to talk about than religion. I have found it's a topic from which almost nobody comes away having learned something when they argue for different religions.
