LOL. The other day I went to the bank to cash my pay check. There was an older gentelman in there asking about setting up a savings account. The teller said yes we can help you with that. He says heres the problem. My wife and I have been saving change for 20+ years and have $1700.00 in pennys, nickles, and dimes!! He says we rolled it all up and wanted to know if you can take that much change. She said yes and they went to set up the account.
Now Im standing there jaw open in AWWW.
Holy Change Man!! WOW! That is amazing to me. Where the hell did they keep it all?? I know we save change but never had had more than 100$ at a time. I cant imagine having 1700$ worth!
What I want to know is how long did it take to count it all and roll it??
I just counted all the change I have and I have 50$ worth right now. Im going to take it to the bank and put it in my savings. Im going to continue doing this for a while and see how much I can accumulate. You never know I might just get enough for a much needed vacation!! LOL!
Do you save your change? How much is the most you have had at one time? If you dont save your change maybe you should.

WOW! That is a LOT of change! I've got a jar at home where I put silver coins so my purse isn't heaps heavy. But that doesn't fill up too quickly as I also empty out all of my extra coins into the offering plate on Sundays.

Well thats a good way to do it. Save for collage because we all know it costs an arm and a leg! I dont do the pop can and bottle thing. We have to drive 45 miles to the nearest place to deposit them. Really not worth it because gas is so expencive.

My husband and I try to save as much as we can, usually within a week we have a little over 5 bucks in change, so not bad. But I've been saving in my bank account and now I discovered I have over 100 dollars, so I'm going to keep on saving see how much I come up with in the next 6 months.
Wow that man was something special, to have all that money saved for so long. I praise people like that, those are the ones that the rest of us need to look up to.

Well good for you. Im going to do the same thing save and put it in my savings. Im hoping to have a couple hundred dollars saved up by christmas.
He is something special. He said the reason he didnt have quarters was because in a pinch they would use them. So imagine how much more they would have had. Hes my new Hero!
