What makes you excited when you travel?

I love to travel too but do not like the preparation, I always get stressed wondering if I am taking enough or not enough clothes or types of clothes in case the weather turns bad. I get worried that I will forget something important like the passport or something, but once I have completely packed and checked the house I then relax and enjoy the experience. Ellie :D

I get excited when I know that am off to a new destination that I haven't been to before. I look forward to doing some exploring in a city, walking in the countryside or relaxing on a palm fringed beach. I feel happy when I pack my camera and think of all the photos that I will take on my trip. Packing for my next trip will not be much fun for the airline allows 15 kilos of luggage for me and nil for my baby son. I hope that I can get lots in my hand luggage.

I like to travel too. My husband and I love to take a ten day yearly family vacation and a few weekend trips too. I love deciding what we are going to where. I also like to do research on where we are heading. I like to find out what the hotels are like and what kind of activities they have. I find that when I plan the trip out we do a lot more things and for a lot less. There are specials you can only get online. I also like to talk to other people on site like this one and gather.com to find out if others have been where I am going and what they thought of it. The more information you have the better the trip. This year it will only be my husband and I going on trips. My daugher is seventeen and she is graduating this year. She wants her independence away from mom and dad. I guess I don't blame her. We have vacationed so much in Tennesse that we are now looking to buy a home there. This looks like a good place to retire.

What excites me most is the change in place, change in your routine work. While travelling there is no such routine and no bothering like this is time to eat , this is time to sleep! You are just on your own and can do as you please!
