how to take care of red eared slider turtles

i've just adopted a pair of red eared slider turtles, i wonder how to take care of them besides feeding. they're on an aquarium with rocks and water in it. a friend told me that red eared slider must be sunbathed at least 1 hour a day to keep their digesting system well functioned. i wonder if this is true because i think red eared slider is a water-living environment animal.

Yes, turtle like to sunbath. Since you have 2 of them, you need a 40 gallon long tank to make them happy. You also should provide them with a light and a decent size area for them to sun bathe in.
