I am a member of Helium and Associated Content. I am hoping this does not get deleted because I am so proud of something that has happened.
I write a lot of poetry. Lately it has been political, one poem I have written is very controversial so I was not even sure that AC would publish it. The poem is of a Graphic nature and uses Adult language so I will not even try to put it on here.
To the amazement part, one it was published, two, I got comments on it and it was favorited. I am so proud of this poem and what it means to me. To have others comment on it I was blown away.
You can find it here....

Thank you, I don't know where it came from. I did write it before my friend told me he was headed back to war. I hope it drives home the responses I would like to deliver.

Wow, that poem, entitled "Yes, Drill Sergeant, Sir" is rather amazing! As I read the poem, I felt the political drama going on. If I am a member of Associated Content, I would probably favorite this too. I guess, the use of metaphors and hidden meanings are really dramatic and "beautiful". Such a beautiful piece, Aingealicia. Continue your creativity. :)

I am a member of Helium, also. I have been contemplating joining Associated as well. I guess I will have to now, so I will be able to comment on remarkable work such as your piece,
"Yes, Drill Seargent, Sir". Perceptive, incisive, well written, thought provoking, adroit. An exceptional work. Have you checked out Bizreef.com? Blessed day

Thank you Rev. Wendy. No I have not checked it out but will. I love this piece. It means a great deal to me especially now that a friend called me and he is headed back for his 3rd tour.
I have a few of my other poems on here actually if you would like to see them.
I hope that even though the words are not exactly "politically correct" that it is picked up by someone to get out there. That is how Soldiers talk, it is a way of life.
Please take care and welcome to MyLot.
Blessed Be,
Ainge
