Do you think your spouse's snores bothering?

When we just married, I found it was so bothering. My husband's snores were so loud and I hardly fell asleep to it. My husband said I could wake him up when it bothered me. Or he would sleep later than me. But human beings could adjust to different situation quickly. Later I got used to his snores. And sometimes I found it's hard for me to sleep without his snores

I have double trouble. My boyfriend snores and our 3 year old snores. She sleeps in bed with us so I have to deal with TWICE the amount of snoring! When my boyfriend snores I just nudge him and he stops for a while but eventually he starts again. Doesn't matter if he is on his back, side, stomach, whatever he still snores (and talks in his sleep too). My daughter snores quietly so that doesn't relly bother me but when she laughs in her sleep (which she does a lot) it always wakes me and puts a smile on my face!

I think it must be so happy to hear your daughter's laugh when she had nice dream. I know all parents appreciate to it

Yeah, we both snore sometimes, if I'm really tired I will. I can tell I've been snoring, when in the middle of the night I feel my husband pushing on my side to make me turn over. He says sometimes I protest...lol. I don't ever remember tho.

yes it is. sometimes, i could manage it which means adjust to his snoore but sometimes, i really could not bear it and when i am not able to bear it, automatically i would like to pinch his nose smoothly (he already allowed me to do this kind thing) then he would be sleep without any snooring. i know its little bit weird but its happened

lol...I have the same problem. My husband's snores are very loud! Earlier, I would pinch his nose and wake him up..it was hard for me to fall asleep with the snores...while he could fall asleep in one second. But now I've got used to the snores...unless it happens when I'm just trying to fall asleep. I've had friends who have shared a room with my husband tell me that someone should give me an award for bearing with the snores!

I think only the people who are close to you will bear the snores

Snoorrinnng ... yes it can bother some. But fortunately my husband snores only sometimes, that too most probably when he has a sorethroat or some problem with his Trachea. Otherwise he is all right. You can reduce the snoring by just turning him to his side, either to his left or to his right. Only when they are lying on their backs this snoring occurs. A block is formed there that they are not able to breathe properly. That's all. But usully we ignore that because we get used to that snoring and like you said we seem to miss it, if it is not there.

Maybe this method works for your husband, but not mine No matter what, he will snore loudly and it seems it's no way to stop it

Yes, I know what you mean about the snoring, usually I just roll my husband over on his side and that works, most of the time, sometimes he still snores. But have you ever used Breathe Right Nasal Strips? Their little strips that you put across your nose. They are supposed to help open up your sinuses. My husband has used them, and they worked for him, he didn't snore as much, they might not be that comfortable, but if it may help, its worth a try..Good luck

That's why I hate sleeping with someone! I much prefer to sleep on my own then I don't have to put up with my partner's snoring or noisy bedtime habits! I did actually move into the spare room once because their snoring drove me into insanity! I don't make good partnership material because I can't get used to people's funny habits and snoring for me is a big no no I can't sleep if my partner snores so I understand where you are coming from my friend!

If it gets to be too bad I pull out the earplugs. Those are the best thing for me. I also have a nature sound machine that helps. You can still hear my husband snore over it but it takes the edge off of it. The snoring kind of blends in with the nature sounds so its not as startling.

yes, his snores would bother me - but even more than that it was his rattling. he would make this awful rattle sound like he was going to snore but not quite there.... I would roll him over to get him to stop. my mother says it is so hard to get to sleep without my father there, now that he has passed on - not only because of the loneliness but because the snoring is absent.

I am lucky that my husband doesn't snore very loud... only a little... and that happens when he is very tired... but when i do get bothered by his not so loud snore... i just move his head to the other side... My mother thought me that because my father snored very loudly... she doesn't want to wake him up... so moving his head to a little or to the other side would make the snoring stop for a few minutes...

My boyfriend snores horribly. He even sometimes stops breathing for a few seconds and its hard to sleep when you either have someone snoring really loudly or when you are afraid that the breathing won't start again. I have had many sleepless nights because of it. I've even taken to sleeping on the couch on several occassions because I was so bothered by it.

That's funny that you found it hard not to sleep without the snores. My wife doesn't snore but I sometimes do. I so rarely snore that it wakes ME up when I do! :) If anyone has the secret to me getting used to my own snores, IM me! :)
