Do you return the store cart to the cart corral?

I was in Walmart when a prerecorded message came on and said to please return the carts to the cart areas so that they don't get loose and hit a car. I looked around the parking lot as I returned my cart to the correct place. Carts were left everywhere. I guess I am the only one that returns them? So I watched for a few minutes and it seemed about half of the people returned them to the corrals. Do you take the cart back to the right place or just abandon the cart by where you were parked? I don't mean the cars that have a quarter or dollar in them but the free carts. Do you make the trip to the corral?

I always return them to the store or the cart corral. I had anew truck and it was hit by a cart that the wind blow over. I respect others vehicles and I would appreciate if they would appreciate mine.

I always return the carts. Sometimes I really really don't want to like when it's raining or cold, or way too hot, but I'm sure the person from the store corralling the carts isn't too keen on it then. I just hate to see the carts all over the place, filling up the spaces, nicking cars. Also at WalMart I'll take a cart into the store with me since I usually have to try out two or three carts there to find one that doesn't go bumpity bump - what the heck.

I have to say I take my cart to a cart coral or back to the front of the store when I am done with it. I alway use a cart at CVS and they do not have a place on the lot so I take it back up to the store. Some times I take it in the store but for the most part I just put it up on the curb with its wheels turned so it don't roll away.
I went to Walmart the other day and a man was yelling and screaming. He was standing at the back end of his car. He was ranting that someone did not put their cart in the coral and the wind took it. The cart ramed him car and left a big dent. I felt sorry for him but he was being a maniac and I was not about to get involved. I was sorry this happened and I am sure this happens a lot. I have seen carts all over the parking lot where people just leave them where ever. I have even had to get out of the car and move a cart so that I could park my car.
I wish more of us returned the carts. If we all did our part things would go much easier in general.

I always return the cart to the cart dispenser in the parking lot. I don't take the cart back into the store and if it is a store that doesn't have somewhere outside to put the cart I only return it to the front door or as close to the door as I can without it being in other people's way. I don't like that a parking lot is full of loose carts since they get in the way of other people trying to park their cars and I know I have hit a few in my days, and it frustrates me. So I try my best to not leave my cart in other people's way.

I put them up. It's stupidly lazy not to, and could cost someone else a nice dent in their vehicle.
My husband walks with a cane but will use a cart instead when out shopping, so he'll often take one from the parking lot as we're heading to the door, instead of taking one from the rack inside.

I absolutely do every time. I try to park right near one so there is no excuse...especially in bad weather or when the kids were young and I didn't want to leave them in the car alone.
There was one time I didn't return the cart: it was during a rain or snow storm, the twins were infants, I was alone and I'd had to park far away from the corral. I left the cart by my car but did put the front wheels up on the curb so it wouldn't roll away. I felt so guilty!
