I just recently stopped doing tags, now my star rating has taken a nose dive. I do not know if that is the actual cause or just coincidence. But if it were going to fall for any other reason, seems to me it would have started falling a long time ago. Has this ever happened to you?

My rating nose dived after getting into a debate on the seal hunt.
Did you perhaps disagree with someone's topic? They like to rate you negative if by some chance you try to get a debate on the go.

What I don't understand is why people get so darn anal over their opinion.
Debating is healthy and can make you see the other side of things and open new doors for you.
Rating someone negative because they have a different opinion than you is very childish.

I'm not sure about the star ratings specifically, but I definitely do think that tagging has an impact on earnings. I try to always tag discussions, even if I can only come up with one or two tags. It's better than nothing.

I've never seen my tags show up unless I started a discussion. I'm not sure what effect the responders tags has on the overall picture here. It's interesting to try and figure out how all the behind the scenes stuff works. Too bad I could never tell anyone if I ever figured it out. I bet myLot would be standing over me in black suits when I woke up in the middle of the night, to cart me away, never to be heard from again. They're hardcore when it comes to their formula LOL.

As far as I know I did not think this effected our Star rating or our Regular rating on here. Maybe you had someone on here who went around and rated you "-" for some reason. For the most part, I always try and remember to put tags everytime I post, but wish there was an easier way sometimes to post without doing so.
Wishing you the Best.

I never do tags when I respond to discussions and my star stays the same. I really don't know how that star rating works. I just always give +'s to people who respond to my discussions and +'s to people who start discussions that I respond to. I heard that that helps out the ratings.

Yes it is because someone gave you a negative rating simply because they did not agree with you and that is unfair MyLots rules state you do not give a negative rating just because you do not agree with the other person only if the person is being unusa;lly rude and obnoxious.

hahah, i've only been doing this for like a day 1/2 and my star went down to 5 already, hahaha, i don't know why maybe is it because i'm a newbie and that my star had to start from 0? hahaha, i really don't know what causes our stars to fall or go up...
