There is a volcano erupting off the coast of New Zealand. Because it is completely submerged in water, you wouldn't know it is erupting, but it is.

Monowai is the name of this volcano, and it's north of the Kermadec Islands, and is about 1500 metres deep under the ocean. Its conical cone reaches to just 120 meters below the surface of the Pacific.

Cool. When I was in New Zealand there was a volcano erupting off the east coast of the north island, near the Coromandel area. It was interesting to watch. In Sicilia I summited Mount Aetna while it was erupting, very strange feeling the mountain rumble beneath my feet.

Earth is very much a wiggly living thing. Those of us living on Earth tend to forget that fact, until it reminds us of it's lively self via a volcanic eruption or an Earthquake.

That's what climate change is about. Earth is not a static critter. Climate change has been a part of Earth as long as there was an Earth. We need to adapt to her. Not her to us. One very large volcanic eruption can put out more carbon emissions than the whole of mankind has ever put out...ever.
