Today, I downloaded the Free song from the iTune's story, "Love don't live here anymore" by Lady Antebellum. I don't normally go for country music, but this one was rather catchy. Perhaps it was just the mood I was in today.
I am reminded of a friend of mine who has gone through a divorce recently. Of course, it shattered him when his wife decided to up and leave. But, he has, I think found someone else that he wants to share his life with. I guess, the song could be seen with his new love in mind. And, it seems rather refreshing in that way. Instead of the old tired tears over a lost love, it is good riddance to bad rubbish.
The words, "Love don't live here.." aren't all that rare. But I've listened to the Antebellum song and then one my Madonna and I feel the one by Madonna feels weepy and sad, while the other one feels empowering and upbeat. (Guess which one I prefer.)

Have you heard the song? Did it have any particular meaning for you?
Do you know of other, similar songs you'd recommend based on this one seeming appealing to someone? Similar themes more than similar musical style?

I have never heard of it. Sounds like it might be worth a listen. I also haven't heard the one by Madonna.Just guessing here, that you don't care for Madonna version.

Nice to see someone poking around and answering the older posts. The song was a free download the week I started the discussion, so it was easier for people to check in and listen. I should check on uTube sometime to see if it's available there.
I hope you have a good Thanksgiving!

I think I've heard it before - dont know it well enough for it to have any special meaning for me. I'm just wondering how you got free music from iTunes? :-)

Lady Antebellum are rising very quickly from that one single and they are amazing together. Even if you aren't all that in to country, I would recommend checking out Rascal Flatts. They have some really great songs as does Taylor Swift.

I don't listen to much country music, but I've seen Taylor Swift perform. She seems to be a cutie and from what I hear she was discovered on myspace instead of the normal channels.
