The 80's hot topic..EBONICS..I am not black but I think that with all the slang and abbr. its really a language in its self. Should it be taught in schools in areas with a high African-American concetration? like as a french, and spanish in most H.S. LET ME KNOW

Honestly, since it is slang it should NOT be taught in school as a language. Ebonics allows people to belittle themselves by sounding uneducated. In the real world, an employer would not hire someone who spoke in such a way so why teach kids to use such a form of language. Does anyone ever still use Ebonics?

I am black and I don't like Ebonics. I think that children should be taught proper English. If they want to screw it up once their grown, it's on them. I ain't down wit 'dat.

ok I feel that teaching ebonics in schools should not be allowed because it makes people sound uneducated plus it also seems racist because not all black people talk like that.
