dungeons and dragons

I've recently started playing dungeons and dragons 3.5. I really enjoy playing it probably because its fantasy based and i really like reading and watching about fantasty. How many people out there still get together with friends to play it...how into it are you and..are you going to switch to the 4.0 version this spring when they release it? Ive heard 4.0 is rather dummied down so its easier in hopes that wow players might start playing.
