Do you remember the first time you dropped your cellphone

I remember it slipping out of my pocket and rolling and slipping on hard concrete! It got a couple of scratches on the corners and I remember how depressed I felt about it - the phone was just a few days old. The phone is well over a year old now and I dont bother about the scratches anymore. There are several new ones and the keypad is faded etc etc but I really dont feel a thing about the condition. Did you feel bad when your new cellphone got scratched or bruised!

I admit it, it does bother me when its scratched. I've never dropped it in the way you have, but just by having it in my purse, it rubs against other objects and doesn't look as new as I'd like it too.

I just cannot remember, I remember that first time, the cell phone was long one with aerial (Siemens), twice longer than the present ones. First time it fell into a pool of water. After that several times, it fell on the ground. I used to keep it in my shirt pocket and it has no closing flap. Now I tuck it to the pant belt and hence chances are rare.

Yep, I remember the first time I dropped my cell phone. It just happened a few days ago! I had just received my brand new cell phone this past Monday and 2 days later I dropped it. It had been on my hip pocket and as I was getting out of my car the whole thing, phone and case, had fallen BOOM! onto the pavement. Luckily I didn't hurt it any and the screen had been protected by the carry holster I was using. But had it been in my purse instead of on my hip in the first place it wouldn't have happened, at least not so soon! With my last cell phone I had it almost a couple of years before I dropped it for the very first time. Boy did I feel like an idiot for dropping it so soon after I got it. Good thing I got insure for my phone the day it arrived in the mail.

Nokia 6010 - This is an example of what my phone looked like. The only difference is mine was blue. I miss my phone *Sniff*
The first time I dropped my cell phone, it was in the toilet!!! Luckily it wasn't an expensive phone. I had the Nokia 6010 in my back pocket as I went to use the bathroom. I didn't think anything of it being there, until I stood up. The toilet seat caught the top of my phone, and out it came into the toilet (which I still had not flushed yet) I hollered, my picture of Eddie Guerrero was still looking up at me from the toilet bowl. I hurried up and snatched it out of there, hoping things were fine. At first look it didn't seem to have any damage, I took it apart, and dried it as best as I could. It worked fine for a little while, but I guess the water finally seeped in to where it shouldn't have been. It started pressing numbers on its own, and some buttons wouldn't work for me at all. Ultimately I had to take the SIM card out and put it into a new phone. I missed my 6010 though. It wasn't high tech, but it had all that I needed. I now have a stupid Kyocera that only works when it wants too. I could go back to the 6010, if the service that I had was based off of SIM Cards.

Yeah, what most people don't realize is its not just dropping an electronic device in water that will mess it up, its dropping it in a solution of water and salt. Water cannot conduct electricity until there is some amount of salt in the water. That is why my phone messed up and yours didn't. Yours fell into pure water, and mine, well, as I said before, I hadn't flushed just yet .
