Have you ever been to a goodwill store? If you have you ever noticed that of course everything is donated, but if some has a name brand name on it they hike up the price just to get more out of it?Hello it was free to you and I thought those stores where around to help people who can't afford the price of new clothes.I guess It gets me because they sell stuff with holes and stains and if it has a name brand name they charge a lot for the item. I have shopped there myself and find that it is a not a good store, because if I do donate to the store who is to says who ever really needs might beable to afford it,I would rather give it away in the paper,Have you ever noticed this and do you donate to this store?

I have shopped at Goodwill, and yes I have noticed this increasingly! It is quite annoying and I have not been to Goodwill in awhile. This store is supposed to be there for the low income, but their prices are actually higher than Walmart!

I have been to many goodwill stores to bargain hunt and see what I can find and I have also noticed the ridiculous prices, but one of the best stores I found in my life wsa actually a Goodwill store in Michigan, mostly everything costs $0.79...no lie! This is because they had one side of the store that has everything nice and clean and haging and whatever doesn't get sold from that side after a while goes to the "as is" side where there are huge piles of clothes for less than a buck. I'm talking Abercrombie, American Eagle, Gap, nice stuff!!! I miss it!

I used to donate a few years back, but it's true, the price are hiked up. It really isn't fair to those that don't have enough to purchase the clothng. We have a store here called Savers and no matter what the brand name, the prices stay the same. No hiking up at that place. I never go to the Goodwill.

I know what you mean. Alot of things we don't donate to these kinds of stores. We pass down to family etc. If it is stained or something we use it as rags for my Dad, fiance and my father in law. They all get dirty and we might as well use these cloths for rags. I really don't understand why these stores charge an arm and leg for things that are donated to them. It's crazy and quite dumb if you ask me. For a few dollars more you might as well go out and buy brand new.
