Do you have to give your dog medicine daily?

My girl gets seizures, which the vet says is common in small breed dogs. The first time I saw her have one I totally freaked out and cried. She looked so pitiful, her body shaking, her eyes bugging out and her little paws raising above her head uncontrollably. The first one she had lasted about 20 minutes. It scared the heck out of me. Now, I give her 1 ml of medicine from a syringe. At first it was a big fight to get her to sit still. Now, she is such a good girl. She knows after going out first thing in the morning, it's med time. She comes to me, sits down and waits for it. Perhaps she knows it helps in stopping those awful seizures. Of course, she gets a treat afterwards. Have you or do you now have to give your dog any medicine daily? Is it difficult or does your dog just sit there and take it without giving you an argument?
