Hi everyone wanted to share with you I have daffidols coming up in my front yard. I love them. I didnt know we had them because this is our first spring at this house. My hubby bought me some daffidols for Easter so now I can plant them with the others. So do have any spring flowers popping up?

My spring plants are trying to pop up, but we just got thru having a huge snow fall on Monday. Those poor things are confused I think. So I am going to waite maybe a week or two more before I finaly uncover them and set them free. Man this has seemed like such a long winter this year. Have fun planting those new daffidols.

Daffodils are such a gorgeous sign of spring and I love their gay bright yellow color so cheery and happy looking. here everything blooms most all year round so we do not have the fun of the first spring blooms. I live in Southern California Tustin to be exact.

Oh Terry I love daffodils:):)
I always love it when Spring comes and I look around the neighborhood and see all the daffodils in the front yards.
I wouldn't dream of planting any though, I would feel sorry for them if I did, since I'm the worse brown thumb in the world LOL Who knows what I could do to the pretty flowers heheheh
Although, in all fairness, if the bottom part of the house was mine, maybe I would make one attempt to see if maybe I had become better with age :) Since it's my in laws part, I wouldn't dare doing anything to it in case I was still the worse gardener in the world:)

In my home country I rather think that the daffodils came out early. They are a pretty part of spring time. I love to see their yellow color and pretty petals. I have some in my neighborhood but none in my garden. I have some other attractive flowers popping up in my garden. It is so lovely to look out of my patio window to see the color in my garden.

Well all along the different gardens of homes near me are daffodils growing like crazy, some hyacinths and even crocus...alas no flowers directly where I am as I live in an apartment building..but some of the bushy type plants that are planted in the ground right in front are starting to bud green

What sweet surprises...from your husband and your garden :)
When we moved in I was pleasantly surprised to find many daffodils and tulips sprout up the following spring.
The leaves have popped up recently but nothing is blooming yet. I love spring and look forward to the warm weather, the sun, the flowers, the birds...

Hi Terry, I don't see any popping up at the moment. We might put a few out on our balcony when it gets a little warmer.

We have some pretty plants in our front yard and they bloomed the first year we bought the house but I can't remember what they were. Since then they've grown but no flowers have bloomed. I was telling hubby yesterday that I think it's because they've been there for so long that they've grown new bulbs and are now over crowded and need to be dug up and I meant to do that this past fall but I forgot. Now they've grown again but aren't blooming. ARG! So much on my mind that I forgot to dig them up. Such is life. I will try to remember to get them this fall. It would be nice to see them bloom again and I think they're daffidols but I can't remember. lol

I have Spanish Bluebells, both blue and white, blooming now. The hundreds of tiny purple crocuses are finishing, and the large white ones are coming up. The Mt Hood daffodils from my Pop are coming up like crazy... I only had a few last year, and was afraid I'd lost them to critters. I'm so glad I was wrong. There are also hyacinths, jonquils and tulips... I'm surprised because I haven't been able to work outside for a couple of years... I think they do better if I leave them alone!LOL!

Hi Terry!
That's wonderful that you have pretty flowers coming up in your yard!
I don't really have a yard right now because my family and I just made a long move back in February, (from Arizona to Georgia), and we are staying in an extended stay motel untill we can save up enough to get a house; but there are some pretty flowers planted outside near the edge of the drive, I'm not sure what kind, I don't know my flowers. There are red, purple and yellow ones out there.
Also the trees out front had some pretty while blossoms on them for a while, but the blossoms have been replaced by leaves now.
Enjoy your flowers!

Lovely that your flowers are coming up! A walk around the garden this past week presented us with an eyeful. The bulbs and other plants are coming up quickly. Maybe they know it will be sooner than later for the warmer weather to appear. I am so in need of warmer weather. The bulbs peeking through the cold soil gives me hopes that it will soon be warm.

Oh how pretty. I am jealous. I tried to grow flowers years ago here and nothing worked. Think it's the sun and probably the location where I planted some several years ago. Haven't tried and probably should think about doing something in front of our house again.

Terry, I have buttercups(daffidols) crocuses and the tulips are pushing their leaves through the ground. I am always in such awe with the spring. It is no wonder we still carry on Easter festivities the way we do here in the south. The dogwoods and redbuds are almost in full bloom and the forsythias are beginning to make the first buds show also. Just beautiful Makes you thnkful to be alive.

The snow just LITERALLY all melted yesterday and today. and although there is no flowers peeping up in MY yard.. while i was out on a walk today, I seen the first little sign of spring, a little white flower bud in a neighbours yard started to push its way up through the ground. it was the only one i seen on my whole walk. . I usually watch the ground for things people drop but today i was looking for more flowers after i seen the first one! lol.

My tulips are just starting to come out of the ground. My daffodils haven't broken through yet.
I love both daffodils and tulips. I love 'any' type of Spring flower. I am so sick of Winter.
