Any Graphic Designers out there?

I went to college for graphic design before it was called graphic design. I have a 2yr degree. Although I've been out of that field for 6 years now due to staying at home to raise my kids, I'm currently looking to get back to into graphic design by doing freelance work from home. Does anyone else here to that? I'm just starting looking into this so any information is appreciated. And it's nice to have friends in the same field.
