OK,there are many ways bout living a good life, different people hold different opinions about this. Some worship wealth, some can even say they don't give a damm about money, money is just what's outside us ,we should cherish more what's inside us. I used to believe in this crap when I was at school, cause I didn't have to warry about money that time,I just spent away the money give by my parents and took it for granted, thought I could be a pure idealistic.I was so wrong. Now I left school, start struggling about life, nobody pay me for free.I just can't wait for things to happen,I must work hard so that I can survive .I realized money is so important, without it you don't even get basic respect.Don't deny it,who will care about a bagger?Maybe only God cares. When I don't have a job ,I don't contact with any of them, don't want them to look down upon me. I didn't mean that money is the most important thing in life, but it's fundamental need.I wish I can make more money so that I don't have to worry about expenses any more. Yes,I am not a saint,I need money to survive. But I make money honestly,so that I can live a clear conscience.

Sometimes people let money take over their lives and when it all comes down to the end, what would you rather be remembered for...the money you made or the kind of person you were? Sometimes it becomes what are your priorities in life.....I was once a workaholic and thought I had to have the best of it all and then low and behold one day I woke up with high blood pressure from being stressed out over money. So I down sized. I quit working a mainstream job and went to work being an artist, something I always wanted to do. I quit living in an expensive house and now rent a 3 bedroom mobile home for 300.00 a month. I quit shopping in the expensive stores and now hit Good Will stores and the Salvation Army....you wouldn't believe the nice things you find there. I also got into garage sales. I found that the more I downsized...the more happy I was with less stress.....So, you don't eat t-bones every nite, but on the rare occasion you do, oh my goodness, they taste good and the friends who hang with me would hang with me anywhere....those are the friends you worry about, not the ones who turn their nose up at the choices you make for your own life....you are the only one who must live with your choices...so why not enjoy them instead of stressing

Good response but it's still a strain in this day and age coming up with money for bills, food and sundry items like clothes and chemist. Especially with prices of fuel and food on the rise and being on a fixed income. It can be very stressful at times I find and i'm careful with money. I don't know how some people manage.

you could live a good life if you don't have lot of money but you couldn't live the sweetest life.. without money you would live in the midst of poverty.. just imagine where would you get your basic needs?? could your children be in school?? for me we can never live a good life without money nowadays money is a part of our lives let's just be cautious that money should always only be a part of our lives but never our lives..

Although the thought of having millions in the bank worries me, we all need money to survive. It is a fundamental need these days, and whether we like it or not, we live in a capitalist world.

It would depend on the person itself. If love matter, we'll find happiness & enjoyable life, if money matter we would find a happiness too but have a lot of money not always means an enjoyable life...

You can not live a good life without money, it is a miserable life without money, I know this because I have been there many times, well in fact most of my life since leaving home. I know they say that money cannot buy you happiness but the fact is it does, because when you have no money you are constantly stressed about paying bills and where you next meal will come from, with money there is none of those worries!

That is so true about the phrase money can't buy happiness Ive always thought it. LIterally it's a load of crap because without money you can quite easily be miserable. Though I suppose if you don't look at it too literally it has a good point that many rich people don't understand - that living your life just for money will not buy you happiness, because it won't. It just helps you on your way. But at the same time you need friends, family and loved ones around, a job you enjoy and leisure time. So if you have these things there's really nothing wrong with the money to go with it and YES it could make you much happier than you'd be without it because you could afford to treat your kids, eat nice food, spent plenty of time with your family and afford to go on holiday when and to wher you like.

Setting aside the people who do actually chose to live lives of poverty, I don't think anyone is actually saying people don't need any money. Just that you can have a fulfilling life without excess money. That money is just important for the basic needs, but beyond that, you can still be happy, even if you don't have the extra material things. No one is trying to tell people to live without any money. And no one would hold it against a person to want clothes and food and a roof over their heads. And, call me naive, but I think there are people who care about beggars and the poor and downtrodden and try to help. Not everyone, but they do exist.

In this day and age it's dang near impossible to live without money, but at the same time, we don't have to make money into our primary goal. I'm happy as long as I have enough money to pay my rent, and pay my bills. I don't need some fancy status, or anything like that.

Nobody has ever said that you could live without money. You need a certain amount to get a roof over your head and buy the necessities of life to make you fonctional. When people say "That money don't buy happiness"... they talk about people with more money than your average citizen. Once you have all the necessities of life... everything else becomes materialistic. People usually buy things to make themselve happy... because the relationship with their entourage is not an happy one. Materialistic things only make you happy for a little while until you get tired of them... and need to go and buy a new toy to get some new happiness. Happiness is about to be happy with yourself and who you are... for starter. Then to find a companion which make you happy. Happiness resulting from money and objects is false happiness. You are just kidding yourself. Living in a 4 million dollars mansion and driving a Ferrari... will make you feel good... but it won't make you happy. Happiness is about knowing that someone loves you. It is that simple. It is better to be poor and in love... than rich and alone. Unless you like being alone. Elvis Presley was rich and famous. He had a million friends. And he was the most lonely man on the planet. His life fell apart when Priscilla left him... Why? Because he did fail to realise that the love of Priscilla was more important than all the other crap.

One needs money to live. You cannot pick fruit off trees and even if you do, those trees belong to someone else. Not all of us are blessed with good health and we need to pay the doctor. No one gives away things for nothing, and so we have to work our butts off to get what we need. The houses we live in, the cars we drive, even walking, we need money to pay for the shoes we wear and the clothes on our back. It is not that money is our god, but the only time we do not need money is when we are in heaven. On earth, we need the cash to survive.

the world made money a necessity. its done. so we have to live with it. Ideally, God has already provided us our basic needs, but we kept on wanting more that's why there's technology, there's money. at this point in time its not possible to live normally in a community without money.

I can not live without money. I know exactly what your talking about, with going away to school and have to pay for things yourself. I have to work a little more harder than before because my parents are paying for my school and housing. So any expense for food, clothes and bills, I have to pay myself.

Without a doubt, monies are important in our society now. There are some old sayings; money can't buy happiness, but how many of you agree that most of the source of arguements between couples are about monies? They said money can't buy you health, but without money, can you get proper medication? Proper surgery? Sustain hospitalization cost? So, yeah I do agree money is important in proper for us to live comfortably, but it is not everything.

i like it when u said "i make money honestly". Yes, we need money to survive, many cannot buy us everything, but without money, we get nothing, not even happiness.

To each his own, I guess. But it's a sad reality that money is a fundamental part in our life, and it does make things easier for us to enjoy life more, though most often in a materialistic level. I think there are only a handful who really enjoys a good life without money. They are lucky because they are content with what they have.

Hi gxnfly, Money is very necessary in our culture, and there is nothing wrong with wanting more. It is only when we treat others unfairly to get money, or when we get it dishonestly that it's in any way wrong. Blessings.

U can only live a good life without money, is when u have got everything u need.. And there's nothing for u to work for anymore.. IF not, it's almost impossible to have a good life without money.. MAybe we can scrimp and save, but during the process, we are still torturing ourselves b4 we can have a good life.. THough money is not 100% important, but with $0, there's nothing we can do at all..

If around will not be taxes, for sure, money will cover many more good aspects from the life. I live with love and hopes, so I can let the money far away, in a way that not disturb.
