Life Goals: Do you think your life has a meaning?

Hello, myLotters!
I was thinking about this, and now I want to know your opinion. Do you think that you are here, on this world, because you have a mission to finish? A goal that you MUST reach before you die? If so, do you know which one is yours? And what would think if you died without finishing it?
In my personal opinion, I do not believe that I have a goal to reach, but those I stablish myself. I make my own goals. I was not "sent" here. However, my opinion can be changed by seeing your responses.

yes, I do.
And it is not necessarily some big impact upon the whole world or some visibly heroic tasks... but could be very subtle and unknown to most everyone. my purpose in being created is to know, love and serve the Good God in this world, so that I can be happy with Him - forever, in the next. If I do not accomplish this task and receive a most unhappy ends, it will be most unfortunate for me.

Hello.
You have a God in which you believe in. I also believe in God, but I think that our Gods are not the same. My God would never ask me to "serve" him. He does not require that. He never answers me, but I know he is here.
And if I am here because of God, then he gave me this life. He gave me this life, which means I don't have to serve him. I have to live it the way I want. That's the free-will, I guess.
But this is just my opinion, I understand yours as well. I just do not accept it.

You don't think that you don't have a goal what ever you are doing for your at most satisfaction is it self you are achieving your goal as per your convenience physically or finantially. But I do not know your actual mission whether to help poor,old aged etc.,?? don't accept any kind of mission that you may not carry on your shoulders definitely such missions may fail.
Suppose you have a goal to help poor people, how many poorer you help? and we can't say who is really poor, instead of choosing like this you can go for helping old aged people and animals, because aged really needs some ones help and animals can't express to you and more over if you want to do some thing to the society you try to grow TREES because now a days Global Warming is becoming major problem in the world.

Hello.
As you said, I can do help others, help the animals, help the society. But is this my mission? I believe that I am the one who sets my mission. There is nothing pre-written for me, nothing which states that I should do this and that.

yes, i think so.
we come to this world for a purpose.
we have to make the life of others as well as ours pleasant.
We must reach the goals that makes us happy as well as the people surrounding us.
If we can't make a mark in good way, why are we here?

Hello!
I just don't see it like this. I believe that we are here, not for a purpose. Everyone has their own life, and everyone lives it the way they want. It's not like: "My mission is to do this and that."
Just my opinion. Thanks for sharing yours!

If I were sent here for a purpose, No one told me. I have done all the things I wanted to and I having a good time, especially now that the hockey playoffs are about to start. But a special purpose, I don't think so.

Well Munhizmib, make can make targets and plan.. but it is only according to the Gods will every action takes place..
Well, we go to bed for sleeping every night.. what is the guarantee that we will wake up in the next morning.. Every thing is at the mercy of God..
So, my philosophy is as long as you are in the World, DO Good. Help ever, and hurt never.. and these lines may look simple, but is really very hard to follow.. and especially the second part of it.
Verily because, there is no surprise when you do good to a person, who has done good, But, it is really a good surprise to do good, or even think of doing good to a person who has purposely done you harm.
